Mr. Nasrul Hamid, MP is a visionary Bangladeshi Politician. He became the Member of Parliament for Dhaka-3 in 2008, being re-elected in 2014 and 2018, and currently serves as state minister of the Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources. During his tenure as the State Minister, he instituted a plethora of organizational and technical changes which led to Electricity production being increased by almost 2.5 times. Mr. Hamid believes in adopting Renewable Energy Policies and aims to source clean energy sources from home and abroad.

Mr. Hamid has been awarded 'Charismatic Leader of the Youth' by The Golden Globe Tigers 2018 for his significant contribution to creating youth development opportunities in Bangladesh. Nasrul Hamid has been awarded by distinguished organizations and countries. He receives the Order of Civil Merit (Orden del Civil Mérito) of Spain from the Spanish Ambassador for his significant contribution to the improvement of bilateral relations between Bangladesh and Spain. This is the highest civilian award by the Government of Spain.
