Mr. Yuho Hayakawa is the Chief Representative of the Bangladesh Office of Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), since June 2020.

In his 30 years of experience in Japanese development cooperation, he has served as Senior Representative in JICA Hanoi office, as the Head of Social Development Division at Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC), followed by Director of Public-Private Partnership Division, Indonesia and the press team of JICA Head Office.

Mr. Hayakawa has also worked in Baghdad and Erbil as Chief Representative of JICA Iraq Office. Before assuming his current position, Mr. Hayakawa was the Director General of Knowledge Management at JICA.

Mr. Hayakawa holds an M. Phil degree in Development Studies from the University of Cambridge, UK. He also obtained a degree in International Relations from the University of Tokyo, Japan.
